Planning for Success

As Dwight D. Eisenhower once said, "Plans are nothing; planning is everything". I had to come up with four S.M.A.R.T goals related to ISM; they had to be specific, measurable, attainable, realistic, and timely. Throughout the process, I was cognizant of the fact that I had a timeline I had to follow in terms of my growth in ISM, and I made my goals accordingly, but it wasn't until later that I realized that just coming up with these goals is not enough; I need to put the effort in the planning process to accomplish the goals I set.
Consequently, this prompted me to spend hours making sure my digital portfolio and LinkedIn were something I was confident in. As I begin making a list of people I would like to reach out to interview over the next week, I need to put forth that I am worthy of his or her time and establish that I am serious about what I intend to pursue. One of the goals I set is that I will have all three of my required research interviews done by the end of October, and I feel as though this plan is now attainable due to the planning I am putting forth. Hopefully, I can make some connections over the next week and begin scheduling interviews. I am really looking forward to this as I will finally be able to obtain some insight from professionals in the field of neurology.
Here's to success!
