Since my first interview two weeks ago, I have learned and tried to improve on all the areas I feel like I can better myself in to make my interviews more successful. Initially, I did have an interview scheduled last week, but that got postponed to this week, and this time, this interview is in person. I am going to need to go to the UT SouthWestern campus, which is really exciting. Furthermore, I also have a Zoom interview scheduled for this week, and both my interviewees are neurologists compared to my first interviewee who is a neurosurgeon. I'm glad I got and am getting the opportunity to speak to a variety of professionals because this will really help me determine what suits me better.
I have also made some progress on my original work about traumatic brain injuries. Over the past week, I educated myself on the basics of traumatic brain injuries so I can make sure that I am not completely lost when I start researching more of the specifics. Also, I plan on asking both my professionals about their experiences with TBIs and any insight, advice, or improvements they have that I can implement on my original work. This is definitely a tedious project that requires a lot of education and attention, so I need to make sure I make steady progress on this.
There are many things going on simultaneously in my ISM journey and I am loving all of it so far! I can only hope that it continues this way.
See you next week,
Afifa
