Beginning New Things

The past week has been pretty exciting, especially since I have my first business symposium this upcoming Tuesday! I have been spending a lot of time preparing for this and making sure that I am ready to make a good first impression of professionals. This is is also going to be my first time interacting with professionals in my field, so I am really interested to find out what I should work on in order to get better and grow. 

Furthermore, I also have an interview Tuesday evening with an ISM alum. The alum is someone who is pursuing the same field as I am, and I think that I am going to be able to get some amazing takeaways from her. In particular, I think that I am most looking forward to getting tips from her and hearing about her ISM journey. Another thing I am hoping to get feedback on is my original work. 

As part of the ISM program, I am required to come up with some sort of project or idea that would be beneficial towards society, my potential mentor, and professionals in my field of study. I am planning on creating a patient-doctor guide that talks about traumatic brain injuries. I still have a lot of research to do on this topic, but I am hopeful that I am going to end up with a successful end product. 

I have a busy week ahead of me with the symposium and interview, so I will be back next week ready to let you know how it went.
